R.E.S.T.™ + RECOVER Care Coordinator
Samantha's Story
Samantha’s arrival at R.E.S.T.™ began unexpectedly at a local coffee shop. While finishing her senior year as a Psychology student, Samantha found herself at a personal crossroads, feeling a growing disconnect with a modern field that had largely drifted away from its namesake. In this season of questioning, Virginia Dixon wandered into the very coffee shop where Samantha was working. What began as a casual conversation over a cappuccino evolved as Virginia shared the mission and vision of R.E.S.T.™. In that moment, Samantha was filled with a profound sense of hope, recognizing how R.E.S.T.™ honored the original design of psychology—the study of the soul.
Upon earning her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from UCI, Samantha joined R.E.S.T.™ as a Care Coordinator, dedicated to walking alongside individuals on their journey toward wholeness. She considers it an honor to serve within an organization that leads individuals to accept the invitation from the greatest teacher to ever live, Jesus of Nazareth: Come all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Samantha believes that wholeness is found by returning to the Source of all life, summarized by the testimony found in the Book of John 1:1-5:
"In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it."
